Poking higher powers in the funny bone keeps ‘Mikado’ fresh
Any quiz asking for the name of an operetta by the musical team of Gilbert & Sullivan will likely get The Mikado as one of the first two answers. That’s for a good reason: It’s wickedly funny, with an edge of danger.
