St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church is celebrating its 50th anniversary. On June 9, an anniversary Mass will be celebrated, followed by a reception with the Most Reverend Bishop Frank J. Dewane in attendance. The spiritual leader oversees some 250,000 Catholics in the 10-county Diocese of Venice in Florida, of which St. Peter’s is a part. Other small evening celebrations have been held for the last several months, with all parishioners invited.
