May 17-24 is National Safe Boating Week. The initiative is sponsored by the National Safe Boating Council and its local partner, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 9-3, Naples, which has been servicing the local boating community since 1952. According to Robert (Bob) Babezki, FSO-PA, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 9-3, Naples, who serves as flotilla staff officer of public affairs, activities during the week vary from locale to locale. One is scheduled at the West Marine 41 in Naples, donating table space to the Naples Flotilla on May 17 and 24.
