Father-son sports bond continues with golf, hockey
At age 5, attracted to the sport’s fast pace, AJ Radunz first donned skates and began playing hockey at what’s now Hertz Arena in Estero. He eventually played with the nonprofit Junior Everblades Hockey Association, which his father Bob Radunz— an avid hockey player while growing up in Denver—served as board president. The son, seeing dad on area links, picked up golf earnestly at 10 and then was coached by him as a member of the Oakridge Middle School co-ed team.
