In early November, the Naples Airport Authority (NAA) announced that its Noise Compatibility Committee elected Richard Krawczun as chair and Andy Reed as vice chair for 2023-24. The nine-member committee of citizen volunteers helps monitor the effect of aircraft noise— long a controversial issue for residents most affected by it—and makes recommendations about noise mitigation procedures for consideration by the city of Naples Airport Authority board of commissioners.
