What would Florida be like without the abundant wildlife species— mammals, birds, reptiles and more— that populate the state’s unique set of ecosystems? What would life here feel like without being able to anticipate the thrill of seeing a Florida panther stalking through the woods, or a family of Florida black bears on the move, or wood storks wading in a marsh?
