‘The Face of Immokalee’ wins best Florida film at Naples festival
His head playfully tilted despite the obstacles surrounding him, a boy’s portrait is seen by passersby in his hometown of Immokalee—and now, that portrait has made it to the international film scene. The blackand- white photograph is one of 255 portraits of Immokalee residents featured in “The Face of Immokalee,” a photo installation featured in a documentary film that won Florida Film of the Year at the Naples International Film Festival on Oct. 29.
