Naples dramas: From classic drawing room to a doughnut emporium
We begin with the holidays in a 19th-century culture of lace collars and long dresses, before blue words and “you guys” were ubiquitous. Then it’s a sea change to gritty Chicago in 2008, where those blue words are on the wall in the first scene, and the costumes are tie-dyed tees and afros.
