During Collier County’s centennial year, The Naples Press will examine issues relating to the environment and development in a series of articles. Future installments in the series will look back at the history of the county’s attempts to balance environmental protection and growth, analyze the controversial and complex Rural Lands Stewardship Area and explore some of the specific challenges and proposed solutions through interviews with local and regional developers, environmental leaders, agricultural leaders and county officials.
