A visit to the Naples Airport (APF) provides a glimpse into the long and varied history of aviation in Naples: from the early 1900s when the beach and golf course doubled as runways; to fighter pilot and bomber crew training during World War II; to multi-million-dollar private Gulfstream jets and smaller private aircraft that now arrive and depart regularly on the modern runways.
