Dorothy Marshall has wings, not feet
Some 30 elementary school kids, most of whom have never seen snow in their lives, are creating a cottonball winter scene at the River Park Community Center. They want some guidance, and Dorothy Marshall—Miss Dorothy to all—is there to give it with no-nonsense instructions and a gimlet eye to those who aren’t paying attention. But she’s also quick to tease and to make sure no one is lost in the mastery of sticky glue and colorful paper shapes that will somehow become a snowman’s face.
